Lorain County to Host Agricultural Tire Collection Day
ELYRIA, Ohio — Lorain County residents will have an opportunity to properly dispose of unwanted agricultural and semi-truck tires during the county’s Agricultural Tire Collection Day on Thursday, Oct. 8, 2026.
The collection will take place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Lorain County Collection Center, 540 South Abbe Road, Elyria, in the south parking lot.
The event is open to Lorain County residents by appointment only. To register, call 440-329-5440.
Residents should note that tires must be removed from the rims. Tire dealers are not eligible to participate.
The program is funded by the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency and the Lorain County Solid Waste Management District.
